Frequently asked questions

Answers for your peace of mind

Find clear information about our medical toxicology services, virtual consultations, and what to expect when you reach out.

What services do you provide?

We offer virtual consultations for non-acute toxic exposures, including environmental and occupational cases. All consultations are conducted by a board-certified medical toxicologist.

Who can request a consultation?

Consultations are available to individuals, healthcare providers, and organizations seeking expert advice on toxin or poison exposures. Because the best healthcare comes from a team approach, referrals are preferred (but not required).

How do virtual appointments work?

After scheduling, you’ll receive instructions for a secure video call. During your appointment, the physician will review your case, answer questions, and provide recommendations.

What types of exposures are covered?

We address non-acute exposures to chemicals, medications, environmental toxins, and workplace substances. For emergencies or acute poisonings, please contact your local poison center at 1-800-222-1222.
